The Newcastle Ukulele Community makes a very significant contribution to the Blue Mountains Ukulele Festival, probably the largest of any community, outside of the Blue Mountains community themselves.
BMUF is on the weekend of 7th, 8th & 9th February 2025.
The Ukastle Ukestra are performing on Saturday 8 February at 4:30pm. Ukestral Voices perform at 11am and there are perhaps another half dozen Newcastle-related ukulele groups performing throughout the day as well. Check that out at the 2025 Saturday Program.
We invite you to be a part of our ukestra performance which is always rather schmick and a lot of folk! Rehearsals will be recorded, so don’t let geography hold you back! Register your interest below.
Rehearsal Dates
We will have four rehearsals with a flat rehearsal fee of $25 (whether you are online or do 1 or all rehearsals). A lot will be at the Cricketers Arms Hotel, other

First Rehearsal – Tuesday evening – 17 December 2024 – 6:30-8pm
Second Rehearsal – Tuesday 7th January 2024 6:30-8pm
Third Rehearsal – Tuesday evening 21st January 2025 6:30-8pm Cricketers Arms Hotel
Fourth and final rehearsal – Saturday or Sunday afternoon 1 or 2 February 2025 12:30-2:00pm Carrington Bowling Club
